Detailed Horror Poster Analysis


The colours in this picture make it look creepy and eerie, very dull and grey.
The background is an old tatty house with loads of dead trees surrounding it, it has lots of fog to create effect,it makes a bit more creepy because in the fog you cannot see.
The shadows of the noose makes the reader wonder whats happens which makes the film worth watching.

images are mostly of the killer,victim or both.
settings are normally in dark and creepy places.
the text is normally bold and easy to see.
the titles use lexis from the semantic fields or horror films with language that includes blood and death.
most posters have things like blood splatters,the killer or maybe the victim.
props often include knifes,axes and other weapons.
